Long time fans Margaret and Peter have enjoyed six trips with Unique Holiday Tours. Find out what keeps them coming back for more!
“Telling people about our travels with Unique Holiday Tours is our favourite passtime!
Just the fact that since 2009 Peter and I have joined five South Island Tours and one North Island Tour with the October tour this year already booked should give you the idea that we enjoy them.
Our initial choice of these tours was the reasonable cost, which we have found excellent value for the money. But also the areas covered with optional extras has provided us with a new knowledge of many of the out-of-the-way spots of New Zealand. The excellent commentaries have opened my eyes to interesting facts about places that we would normally pass by and I find myself researching more by way of Google when we arrive home.
I look forward to the short toilet stops at interesting places, like the track through bush to the swing bridge crossing the Arnold River at Lake Brunner where kereru have begged me to photograph them. At Arthur’s Pass there is a short track behind the chapel to a stream gushing down from the waterfall and the resident kea looks eagerly for food. In Motueka the stop is by a wonderful Japanese Garden to stretch your legs after sitting on the coach. By the river in Geraldine is an interesting rhododendron walk. Every short break seems to offer another interesting feature and we have the time to explore.
Sometimes on tour unexpected things happen and each time we have found that the whole team, both on the coach and at the office, work immediately to overcome problems and nothing seems too much trouble for them.
We have travelled widely around New Zealand by ourselves and taking overseas guests but we are enjoying the relaxation of safe courteous driving, the fun of being with other travellers and learning so much from our hostess. I hope that many of you will find that there is always something new and fascinating about this wonderful country of ours.”
